Matthew McConaughey was barely recognizable as he departed from Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.
Far from looking like the super buff Dallas in Magic Mike, McConaughey appeared extremely gaunt as he headed to New Orleans — showing off a dwindling, frail figure in preparation for his character in The Dallas Buyers Club.
The husband of Camila Alves, 43, shed the pounds to portray a homophobic drug abuser by the name of Ron Woodroof, a character based off a real man who was diagnosed with AIDS at the height of the HIV epidemic during the 1980s.
Celebuzz spoke with Alves about her hubby’s drastic weight loss in September, and the model gushed about how she loves his body whether it’s thin or muscular.
“Any way is good. Changes are good. Makes it a little more fun,” Alves, 30, admitted.
