NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey throw a bash, while Kenya Moore continues to make waves on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Last week, Cynthia and new housewife Kenya got off to a rocky start. The Atlanta belles clashed over Kenya’s brash comments about models and quarrel with Cynthia’s assistant during an open casting call for Jet magazine at the Bailey Agency.
Note: Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Sunday’s episode, “Excess Breeds Success.”
Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss had lunch with Kenya. It was a chance for the veteran Housewives to get to know the newbie. During lunch, Kenya confided in the ladies about the drama at Cynthia’s agency.
Kenya blasted Cynthia for her alleged bad behavior, delighting the ladies to no end. Phaedra marveled about Kenya’s saucy personality and remarked the two will get along just fine. Judging by RHOA’s previews for the rest of the season, those were famous last words…
Later, Cynthia and NeNe met Phaedra at the gym, where a party to honor NeNe’s TV success was revamped into an empowerment party. Phaedra wondered if NeNe would be open to the idea of Kim Zolciakbeing invited. The sitcom diva assured them she was over her issues with Kim. Later, Phaedra decided to get Cynthia’s side of her drama with Kenya. Cynthia, of course, told the women how she was displeased at Kenya’s behavior.
At NeNe and Cynthia’s empowerment mixer, Kim arrived with her snarky assistant, Sweetie, in tow. Kim was hesitant about seeing NeNe, but decided she would get in and out of the event.
As the party got in full swing, Kim and the other guests wondered where exactly NeNe was? Kim decided she was done waiting. As she was heading out, she bumped into her former friend. Surprisingly, NeNe was delighted to see Kim and asked for her to stay at the event!
Kim claimed she had to leave for a football-related dinner with her husband, but then said she’d return after a trip to the restroom. As NeNe waited for Kim to return, the wannabe singer exited the party. So much for burying the hatchet.

OMG!: Cynthia standing up to Kenya. It is obvious Kenya has watched the previous seasons and thought she can pick apart Cynthia, but she is not having it!
Thank you, TV gods.: NeNe being gracious when she ran into Kim. She has shown she’s over issues with Kim, but the same can’t be said with Ms. Zolciak.
Awk-ward: Kenya’s boyfriend, Walter, revealing he tried to ask Kandi out but she shot him down. Kenya’s reaction was too cray-cray for words. Get over it girl, he did the BEFORE he met you!
Hotness: Cynthia, NeNe and Phaedra working out in makeup. What a glam move!
Fab-u-lous: The empowerment party. The ATL women are all about doing it on their own.
Can. Not. Wait.: New housewife, Porsha Williams-Stewart and Kenya’s argument next week looks like fireworks!
