One Direction Drop Hints About ‘Kiss You’ Music Video – How is It Connected to ‘Star Wars’?

One Direction can’t be stopped.

Not only is the British boy band’s sophomore album, Take Me Homepoised to sell more than 500,000 copies in its first week, but now the lads are hard at work promoting their third single off Home, “Kiss You.” After releasing the emotional ballad “Little Things” as their second single, One Direction went back to their infectious pop roots with “Kiss You.”

“With the album, that’s the first one that we listened to and we were like, ‘Yeah, we love this song,’” Liam Payne told MTV News. “It holds a special place in our heart, I think for this album, and it kind of sets the tone, I think, for the album.”

When it comes to the single’s video — which the lads have already filmed — they think Directions will agree it’s their biggest, and best, yet.

“I think the whole concept behind the video is bigger than anything we’ve done before,” Zayn Malik said. “It’s a whole idea and it’s kind of structured, which is a little bit different than what we’ve done before in like a comedy way. It’s really funny. We are just having fun.”

But what’s most interesting about the video is how it’s connected to Star Wars filmmaker George Lucas. ”We shot it where ‘Star Wars’ was shot on the George Lucas stage,” Niall Horan said.

“You find out I’m Luke Skywalker’s son!” Horan joked.

Now that’s a video Directioners would be dying to see. However, One Direction fans will have to wait until the middle of December to see the finished product.

Meanwhile, One Direction recently announced their plans to release a 3D concert film in August 2013.  Super Size Me mastermind Morgan Spurlock will be helming the project.

“This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in time for the band,” Spurlock said in a statement. “To capture this journey and share it with audiences around the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of.”

Look for One Direction’s 3D concert film to hit theaters August 30, 2013.
