Has Taylor Swift found new songwriting inspiration in One Direction’s Harry Styles?
According to X Factor co-host Mario Lopez, Swift, 22 and Styles, 18, were spotted “hanging out” on the show’s Los Angeles set earlier this week.
“Taylor Swift was the special guest performer, and here’s a little inside scoop for you,” Lopez said on his radio show Friday night.
“During rehearsals, Harry from One Direction came and slapped me on the back, and said, ‘Hey Mario, how you doing?’ And I said, ‘What are you doing here?’ And he sort of points towards Taylor, and I said, ‘Oh! Good for you! And then I see the two walking off hand-in-hand,” he continued.
While Lopez stayed away from the word “dating,” he did say that the pair are “officially hanging out.”
Swift, who split from Conor Kennedy, 18, in October, has been one of the industry’s busiest singers since the release of her latest studio album, Red. The “Begin Again” singer was just in Frankfurt, Germany for the MTV Europe Music Awards, where she took home three awards, including Best Live Act.
Styles and the boys from One Direction just released their second studio album, Take Me Home on Nov. 9.
Last week, the group celebrated the opening of their pop-up store in Manhattan, where fans can purchase all things 1D, including diaries, earrings, nail stickers and iPhone cases.
