Justin Bieber is in the clear.
Court documents state that prosecutors have decided not to file charges against the singer after investigators found no evidence that he kicked or punched a photographer after leaving a Calabasas movie theater in May.
Earlier today, TMZ reported that the Los Angeles County District Attorney had decided not to file any criminal charges because of conflicting witness accounts and an overall lack of evidence surrounding the case.
The May drama began when Bieber was exiting a movie at The Commons at Calabasas shopping center and became involved in an argument with a paparazzi. His on-again, off-again galpal Selena Gomez was with the singer during the dispute, and was seen trying to hold him back from engaging in a physical altercation.
After the photographer claimed that the singer got physical with him, Bieber was a suspect in a misdemeanor battery case.
Bieber has a lot to be thankful for during this holiday season. This is just the latest in a string of legal matters that have been put to rest before going to court. On Nov. 14, a California judge threw out a paparazzi’s case against Bieber in a high-speed chase in West Hollywood.
His personal life is also on the mend it seems. Despite reports that he and Gomez broke up, the two have been spotted out in the past few weeks.
On Nov. 19 the two were spotted at Benihana in Encino, Calif. and did their best to shield themselves from the paparazzi in the parking lot as they exited.
