What is like working with one of the most famous families in Hollywood? Just ask 15-year-old actress Isabelle Fuhrman, who’s co-starring in M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth with Will Smith.
“The first time I met him he came up and gave me a big hug. I was like ‘Oh, my god, I’m hugging Will Smith!’” said Fuhrman.
It’s a family affair for Smith, whose son, Jaden, is also in the film, that’s set for release next summer. Fuhrman told Celebuzz on Thursday that she became really close friends with the 14-year-old superstar, who was this-close to constantly making her flub her lines.
The young star was on hand for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle‘s Miss Golden Globe 2013 announcement, held at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood, Calif.
“I once had to do this scene where I was looking at him [Will Smith] and he [Jaden] walks out of frame and hid under the camera and started making funny faces and Night was laughing and I’m like trying hard not to laugh,” Fuhrman said.
The up-and-comer describes the experience as one she’ll never forget.
“Will is just such a cool, genuine guy,” she continued.
But working with famous faces is not lost on this young star. Fuhrman is no stranger to starring in Hollywood blockbusters, having just appeared as Clove in the highly-anticipated movie adaption of The Hunger Games. And, like the millions of franchise followers, she’s just as fanatic about the books.
“I’m a big fan of the books, so when I found out that I got it, I was kind of crying and screaming and had all these emotions coming at me at once,” she said.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire won’t be released until next November, but Fuhrman can’t wait to see it. She revealed she’s read the entire series at least 13 times!
“I’m just going to be waiting in line with everyone else to see the second one,” Fuhrman said.
