In a shocking tweet, Glee star Chris Colfer tweeted that he’s leaving the show.

However, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Colfer’s manager told THR that the star’s verified Twitter account has been hacked and that the actor will indeed be back for the final season of the Fox musical.

Also, Glee producer 20th Century Fox TV issued this statement of their own: “We’ve been alerted that Chris Colfer’s Twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season.”

The filming for the final season has been postponed.

Assistant editor of Glee, Matthew Smith, hinted the delay in the production as he posted to his Twitter account that he was looking for work. “Whats up twitter industry folks. I’m available for work between July 15th and September 1st. Maybe hire me for something?” he posted on June 30.

“Damn! That’s too bad… I just found out today. Thought I was starting way sooner. TV schedules…” he later wrote as a reply to one of his followers.

He later added, “Not sure what is gonna happen. I’m not sure we’re doing a full season again this year. Could be off in the winter.”

Glee just would not be the same without Chris Colfer.
