Demi Lovato Dedicates ‘Angels Among Us’ to Sandy Hook Victims (VIDEO)

While the country continues to remember the victims of the Newtown, Conn., tragedy, Demi Lovato honored those fallen with a heartfelt memorial.

Almost two weeks following the devastating shooting — which took the lives of 20 children and six school administrators —at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the X Factor judge sang a rendition of “Angels Among Us” (originally sung by country group Alabama) in tribute to those affected.

Before showing off her vocal prowess, the “Skyscraper” singer, who was dressed in a solemn ensemble, started the video with a touching written message: “We can never imagine what the families in Newtown, C.T. are experiencing right now. And while there is nothing we can do to replace their loss, we can stand together and support them during this difficult time. This song is in honor of those angels we lost on Dec. 14.”

Lovato is just one of many celebrities who have paid their respects since news broke of the massacre. The performance helped raise awareness for We Are Newtown, a charitable organization raising funds for the community of the small New England town.
