Lady Gaga is giving her Little Monsters a very special gift this holiday season: a documentary about her life.
The singer announced that famed photographer Terry Richardson is transforming a slice of her career into a movie, chronicling the creation of her highly anticipated upcoming album, ARTPOP.
“Merry Christmas little monsters!” she tweeted on Dec. 25. “Terry Richardson @Terry_World is making a #LadyGagaMOVIE documenting my life, the creation of ARTPOP + you!”
Gaga added that it is a “dream come true” to team up professionally with Richardson. “i love you @Terry_World thank you for believing in me and my fans,” she tweeted. “I have looked up to you and your work for so long.”
Mother Monster also filled her fans in on the impending arrival of the album, which is expected to hit shelves in the spring.
“Thank you for being so patient waiting for my new album ARTPOP,” she continued. “I hope this gets u excited for things to come. I love you with all my heart!”
ARTPOP will be Gaga’s newest work following the success of her second studio album, Born This Way. She continues her Born This Way Ball tour in 2012, making her way across North America from January to March.
