‘Up’ Holds Onto Box Office Title

Up, Disney, Pixar, movie, film, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, imageHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Disney and Pixar Animation’s “Up” remained at the top of the box office for the second straight weekend, according to studio estimates released Sunday.

The animated adventure had tickets sales of $44.2 million over the weekend. The total was just enough to outdistance “The Hangover,” which finished second with a $43.3 million debut.

Will Ferrell’s latest film, “Land of the Lost,” debuted by finishing third with ticket sales of $19.5 million.

“Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” ($14.7 million) and “Star Trek” ($8.4 million) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, to round out the weekend top five.
