NEW YORK — Is Mariah Carey firing back in her ongoing feud with Eminem?
The 39-year-old music diva donned a similar look to her nemesis on Monday while shooting the video for her new song, “Obsessed.” Carey sported Eminem’s trademark hooded sweatshirt over a baseball cap while filming at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
The celebrity feud began earlier this year when Carey became a subject in the Eminem song, “Bagpipes From Baghdad.”
“Mariah whatever happened to us? Why did we ever have to break-up? raps Eminem in the single, which is off his latest album, “Relapse.
“Nick Cannon, you better back the f— up,” he continues. “I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”
Cannon came to the defense of his wife shortly after the track surfaced, saying the controversial rapper is “still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from 8 years ago.”
“Man to man, let’s meet up and deal with this like adults,” wrote Cannon on his blog. “This is my invitation to you, whenever and wherever you like sir. So when you come out of your introverted hiding place and ask your bodyguards if you can go out and play by yourself, I’m here Pimp!”
“So, Miss Marshall, I’m going to make you wish you never spoke my name and regret the ungodly things you said about my wife,” he continued. “Your legacy has now been tainted from this day forth! You will now be known as the rapper who lost to corny-ass Nick Cannon!”
