In the lawsuit, which was filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Rowe argues that Rebecca White defamed her when she appeared on “Extra” and purported to have an e-mail from her saying: “Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely.”

White told “Extra” that she was a “close friend” of Rowe’s and it has been confirmed that they do know each other. However, Rowe contends that they never exchanged e-mail about Jackson or their two children together, Prince Michael, 12, and Paris Katherine, 11. Rowe argues that she has not e-mailed White since Jackson’s death on June 25 and that her friend fabricated the supposed communication.

Rowe also contends that White has a history of involving herself in celebrity scandals, including those surrounding such stars as Naomi Campbell and Heath Ledger.

Rowe is seeking unspecified damages for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Rowe’s two children with Jackson, along with the entertainer’s third child, Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, are currently living with their temporary guardian, family matriarch Katherine Jackson.
