HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mel Gibson has been cleared of any wrongdoing after a man claimed the Oscar winner attacked him at a Hollywood nightclub Wednesday night.
The alleged victim claimed Gibson tore his shirt after he took a picture of the actor at Playhouse nightclub. However, police officials tell TMZ.com that Gibson was wedged in a booth with his pregnant Russian girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, making it impossible for him to have made contact with the man.
Security reportedly asked the man to leave the star alone on at least three occasions, even warning him that photography was not allowed in the club.
While the 53-year-old Gibson will not be charged, it is still possible that a civil suit could be filed.
Gibson and Grigorieva revealed that the were expecting a baby in May. The pregnancy announcement came just one month after Gibson’s wife, Robyn Moore, filed for divorce from the actor after nearly 30 years of marriage.
