HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The mystery illness that has been hampering Janet Jackson has finally been revealed, with the singer’s publicist telling People that the pop star has been plagued by vestibular migraines.
The rare condition, which causes vertigo, has forced Jackson to cancel a string of tour dates over the last few weeks. She is currently receiving treatment and is expected to resume her Rock Witchu Tour Wednesday night at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
“[Janet is] a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect,” manager Kenneth Crear said in statement to the magazine. “She’s feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again.”
Crear tells the magazine that plans to reschedule cancelled dates are currently in the works.
