HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Fringe has a new villian.
Sebastian Roche, perhaps best known for his work on General Hospital, has joined the cast of the Fox sci-fi series as a recurring character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The details of Roche’s role are being kept under wraps, but the trade publication said he’ll portray a “soldier from another dimension who is not quite human/not quite machine, trying to gather information for opening a stable door to the other side.”
The 45-year-old French and British actor is replacing Thomas Kretschmann, who was previously cast as the villain and appeared in the Oct. 8 episode. Kretschmann was unable to continue with the series due to a scheduling conflict.
Roche most recently appeared in The CW’s short-lived series The Beautiful Life.
