HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — After skipping out on four court appearances, Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, have finally posted bond for felony charges of burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.
“They have posted bond,” Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter confirmed Friday to People, while adding that “a bounty hunter will go and get them” if they fail to show up in court in the future.
Bail for the Quaids was set at $20,000 each, while their arraignment was scheduled for Dec. 15.
An arrest warrant was previously issued for the couple, who were were facing extradition from Texas to California.
The 59-year-old actor and his wife were arrested in September after allegedly skipping out on a $10,000 hotel bill they rang up during a summer stay at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Quaid is perhaps best known for his roles in “National Lampoon’s Vacation” movies, in which he starred as Cousin Eddie.
