NEW YORK — David Letterman gave it his best shot, but Penélope Cruz still isn’t budging when it comes to answering if she’s planning a wedding with longtime boyfriend Javier Bardem.
During her appearance on Tuesday’s Late Show, Cruz dodged the host when he asked point black if she was engaged to the No Country for Old Men star.
“I don’t feel comfortable talking about my private life in public,” responded the 35-year-old actress, laughing.
“I’ve been here a few times with you, you know I’m tough,” added Cruz. “One thing I don’t do, I don’t lie about my personal life. It’s sacred to me. It’s my life. But I don’t give details about it because I am allergic to that.”
Cruz created a buzz last month by wearing a knuckle-sized sapphire-and-diamond ring at the Broken Embraces premiere during the New York Film Festival. Click here for a picture of the ring.
