A bevy of Conde Nast fashion editors will soon be appearing on ABC Family, Women’s Wear Daily reports this morning.
In January, Stefano Tonchi, Amy Astley and Brandon Holley, the editors in chief of W, Teen Vogue and Lucky, respectively, will appear on the kid-friendly channel. Are they going to be named honorary “Pretty Little Liars”? No, instead, the editors will star as themselves in a new ABC Family show, “Jane by Design.”
According to WWD, the show will follow “a quirky teen who is somehow mistaken for an adult and lands a job at a fashion house, as an assistant to Andie MacDowell.” The show will also feature Nick Roux, Meagan Tandy and Matthew Atkinson.
Tonchi, who welcomed twin daughters with his partner David Maupin this summer, is no stranger to teen TV: he’s made cameos on the CW hit show “Gossip Girl.”
Though we’d never publicly admit to watching ABC Family (except for, uh, right now), we’ll admit we’re pretty pumped about this. Watch a preview for the show below:
