HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan is adding another wrinkle to her fashion empire.
The 23-year-old star has announced plans to expand her 6126 leggings label into a full apparel line.
“i need MORE followers i am so sad about this, how can i tell everyone about my 6126 full collection COMING OUT! all clothing,” she revealed Sunday via her Twitter page.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the expanded collection will launch for fall 2010 and feature 100 pieces that range from $18 leggings to a $300 leather jacket. The line will grow to 150 items the following spring, with expansion including cosmetics, handbags, shoes and jewelry.
“It’ll be a young contemporary price point with contemporary styling,” said 6126 principal Kristi Kaylor. “We’re conscious of it in the sense that we have great price points and quality products. The vision is to offer customers something that they don’t have in the marketplace today, items that go back with leggings: blazers, dresses and tops.”
WWD said that photos taken while Lohan was shooting the spring 2010 campaign for 6126 will be used for the apparel line launch. The shoot was held in conjunction with the starlet’s upcoming January appearance on Bravo’s Double Exposure.
“She’s not a celebrity who lends her name to a brand,” Kaylor said of Lohan, who also serves as an artistic adviser for Emanuel Ungaro. “She’s intimately involved from Day One. She picks fabrics. She looks at trims. She picks buttons. She doesn’t let anything go into production without trying it on.”
