HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tiffany Thornton is engaged!
The Sonny With a Chance star flashed her engagement ring Monday night when she attended the Dear John premiere in Hollywood. The 23-year-old Thornton, who told reporters that her boyfriend proposed in December, did not reveal a wedding date.
“All my friends and I are going to go out on Saturday night to a huge dinner and just hang out and have fun,” said Thornton, who added that her 29-year-old fiancée, Christopher Carney, would be flying in from his home in Arkansas.
The actress plays resident teen queen Tawni Hart on the Disney Channel sitcom, which stars Demi Lovato.
Thornton came to Los Angeles from her home state of Texas to pursue a recording career, but was bitten by the acting bug. In 2004 she landed her first guest appearance on the Fox sitcom Quintuplets, which led to future roles on such television shows as Arrested Development, 8 Simple Rules, The O.C., Desperate Housewives, Jericho, and American Dreams. She has also appeared on Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven, Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana.
