HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Former teen idol Leif Garrett has run into trouble with the law again.
The 48-year-old actor-singer was arrested midday Monday in Los Angeles for possession of a controlled substance, TMZ reports.
Police busted Garrett at a downtown Metrolink station. He was also arrested under similar circumstances for drug possession in 2006. That bust resulted in him being sentenced to 90 days in jail.
The troubled star, whose career began at the age of 5, was released from jail on Wednesday for the latest incident. He is due in court on Feb. 24, TMZ said.
Garrett’s drug-related troubles date back to the ’90s.
