HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rev up the engines, there’s another baby Gordon on the way.
Jeff Gordon and his wife Ingrid Vandebosch are expecting their second child this August, the NASCAR driver announced Thursday on his Web site.
“Hey fans, Ingrid and I wanted to be the first to tell you (ok maybe not the first, but not far from it) the exciting news that Ingrid is 12 weeks pregnant and expecting our second child,” wrote the four-time Sprint Cup champion. “We’re very excited and can’t wait to expand our family to four. Ella is also very excited and can’t stop talking about how much she’s looking forward to being a big sister.”
Gordon and Vandebosch, a model and actress, welcomed their daughter Ella Sofia in 2007. The couple tied the knot one year earlier in Mexico.
The 38-year-old Gordon has hinted that he plans to retire soon, but he’s locked up through at least the 2013 season for Hendrick Motorsports.
