Being honored by the Environmental Media Association on Saturday night, Social Network star Justin Timberlake accepted his EMA Futures Award with a few laughs at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.
After being introduced by acclaimed director Norman Lear, Justin lightened up the mood a bit by joking, “I like a lot of green things like nature and money and things like Kermit the Frog, golf greens, Al Green, hell – I even love Seth Green,” and continued, “I like all sorts of green herbs, some of which I take with medical prescription. Its legal! Uh, green tea. That’s what I was referring to. Green tea.”

Jokes aside, the N’Sync group member spoke of creating Mirimichi as the first eco-friendly golf course around, borrowing a phrase from singer Joni Mitchell; “My family and I heard that somebody was going to ‘Pave paradise and turn it into a parking lot,’ so I decided to buy paradise myself instead!”
After purchasing his own piece of “paradise,” and turning it into a golf course in Memphis, Justin described his environmentally friendly efforts at Mirimichi as a, “fantastic journey for me, my family and friends.

The ladies of HBO’s Entourage, including Perrey Reeves, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Constance Zimmer, served as MC for the 2011 Environmental Media Awards, where Nicole Richie, Kim Raver, Emily VanCamp, Kyra Sedgwick, Amy Smart and new hubby Carter Oosterhouse presented some of the night’s honors.
