Here’s What Charlie Hunnam Thinks of His ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Replacement

Fifty Shade of Grey has recently found their new Christian Grey, but what does the actor who originally held the much-coveted role think of his replacement?

Charlie Hunnam recently spoke with TMZ about Jamie Dornan, the hunk who’ll be playing the aforementioned kinky businessman in the filmic adaptation of the E.L. James erotica, telling the website that he has faith in the project.

“I’m sure he’ll do a great job,” Hunnam said. “I don’t really know his work, but I know [director Sam Taylor-Johnson] is amazing, and she has fantastic taste, so I’m sure he’ll do a great job.”

Hunnam, who bowed out of the role in October, previously told E! News that he dropped out of the movie to focus on other things on his plate, including taking care of his family after the death of his father.

“I am just really concentrating on work. It’s been a really busy time,” he explained. ”I have had some family stuff going on so just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive.”

Since the recasting, Fifty Shades of Grey‘s release date has been pushed back to 2015 to avoid competition with the World Cup and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
