Although it cheekily reminds us that the movie is still a year away, the teaser trailer for Interstellar will most definitely get you to turn your head towards the heavens.
With an all-star cast that includes, but isn’t limited to, Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Michael Caine, Interstellar is sure to be the next movie you’ll need to see a handful of times before any of it makes sense. It is, after all, directed by Christopher Nolan.
Other than that, not much is known about the science fiction flick, but there are rumors that alternate dimensions and wormholes may be involved.
And because I think it’s worth a once over, here is the monologue that Mr. McConaughey delivers in the clip:
We’ve always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments, these moments when we dared to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known, we count these moments as our highest achievements, but we lost all that. And perhaps we’ve just forgotten that we are still pioneers, and we’ve barely begun, and that our greatest accomplishments can not be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.
Interstellar is scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 7th, 2014.
