If you know your Kate fashion history, then both of the dresses (and all of the accessories) she wore for her trip to Uluru, Australia will look familiar.

For the first part of the day, Kate wore Roksanda Ilincic’s “Iovina” crepe dress in a muted mauve. In 2001, she wore a similar Ilincic design during her visit to Los Angeles and again at a London event just two weeks later. (Ilincic is a favorite designer of the Duchess of Cambridge — she’s already worn the designer once on this trip.) Kate paired her new frock — which, like the original, features delicate pleating and has one cap sleeve and one short sleeve — with her well-worn LK Bennett “Sledge” pumps, Alexander McQueen clutch, double leaf earrings from jeweler Catherine Zoraida and a necklace with three charms from the Asprey “Woodland” collection.

Perhaps due to the heat, the Duchess changed into a lightweight Hobbs linen “Wessex” dress and Dune “Imperia” wedge espadrilles, first seen at an event in July 2012, to pay a visit to the Uluru Cultural Center, where she received a new accessory — a traditional beaded necklace.
With just three days left on the Royal Tour, has Kate got any more sartorial surprises up her sleeve? On Friday, she wore her first Australian designer since arriving Down Under, an eyelet dress by Zimmermann. We’ll have to wait and see if she packed any more Aussie labels in her suitcase.
