HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Simon Monjack, the husband of late actress Brittany Murphy, was found dead late Sunday. He was 39.
According to the Associated Press, a 911 call was placed from the Los Angeles home Monjack shared with Murphy around 9:40 p.m. It is believed the distress call was made by Murphy’s mother, Sharon.
Police said the cause of death appears to be natural causes after finding no signs of foul play.
Monjack is best known as the executive producer of the 2006 film Factory Girl, which starred Sienna Miller.
Murphy, 32, died on Dec. 20 after going into cardiac arrest at the same home. The L.A. County coroner’s office previously disclosed that Murphy died of pneumonia complicated by iron deficiency anemia and prescription drugs. Her death was ruled as accidental.
Monjack and Murphy, who married in 2007, did not have any children.
