SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The old and the new will be on display at the 2010 Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco.
Former Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir will return to their old roots as their latest Dead incarnation, Furthur, will headline the festival’s opening night, organizers announced Tuesday. The lineup on Aug. 14 will also include The Strokes and My Morning Jacket.
Kings of Leon will headline the following day, which will also feature Phoenix and Social Distortion.
Other artists who will perform at the music festival include Al Green, Levon Helm, Gogol Bordello, Nas & Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and The Temper Trap.
Outside Lands will take place in Golden Gate Park. Two-day tickets will go on sale this Wednesday.
