Meredith’s in the dog house right now! Taylor Swift‘s beloved cat tested her limits on Monday, May 5 when the chart-topper was being fitted for the evening’s Met Ball.

“That moment when your cat casually walks up,then abruptly ATTACKS your custom satin Oscar de la Renta gown during your fitting for Met Ball,” the “Red” singer, 24, tweeted.

The gown was to be worn at fashion’s biggest night, which kicks off with A-List arrivals at 6 p.m. EST, giving her less than four hours in between her tweet and when she’s supposed to walk the red carpet outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Swift was spotted on Saturday, May 3 with pal Karlie Kloss and actress Kate Bosworth at Harry Josh’s Pre-Met Gala Party at the Jane Hotel in New York City, wearing a clementine sleeveless dress.

No word yet on whether her formal wear for Monday night’s event was permanently damaged by Meredith’s antics, or if she’ll have to make a last-minute costume change.
