HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Actor Jeremy London was allegedly kidnapped last week in Palm Springs, Calif. by a group of men that he believed were Good Samaritans.
According to the Associated Press, the former Party of Five star was changing a flat tire on his car on June 10 when the men approached to assist him. London then offered the group a ride, only to have one of the men allegedly pull a gun on him. London said he was then ordered to drive around town, where he was forced to buy alcohol and take drugs.
The ordeal ended nearly 12 hours later when the 37-year-old London managed to escape, police said.
Palm Spring resident Brandon Adams was arraigned Tuesday on five charges that include kidnapping and theft. He has pleaded not guilty.
In April, London opened up about his prescription drug addiction, confessing he hit rock bottom when his marriage and career fell apart.
"There were times I didn’t care if I died," he told People. "I felt like I was losing everything."
