NEW YORK — Lady Gaga is still free to root for her hometown New York Yankees after causing a stir in the team’s clubhouse Friday night.
The pop star came under fire when she mingled with players following the team’s 4-0 loss to the crosstown rival Mets. According to the New York Post, Gaga was liquored up when she popped in dressed in only a Yankees jersey over her bra and panties.
"She didn’t do anything wrong," Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman told the paper on Monday, adding that celebrities are allowed to mingle with players in a designated area adjacent to the locker room – but only after the team wins.
Cashman also shot down reports that the "Poker Face" singer has been banned from Yankee Stadium and the VIP area, but said the team will look to better enforce clubhouse rules moving forward.
"There is a time and a place for that, and it’s certainly not after a loss and not at the expense of the media doing their job," he said.
