You may know her as Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Echo from Dollhouse, but I best knew Eliza Dushku from her role as Missy in Bring It On… Duh!
No matter which role you preferred, though, one thing is for sure: the girl is a total badass (and a hot one at that)! So where the hell has she been lately?
Aside from appearing on S.M.A.S.H. and a few other TV shows over the last several years, she’s still doing what she does best: kicking ass and taking names. And her latest project has people talking.
She’s taken on a role in a short film called The Gable 5 that’s quite similar to the one she played in Dollhouse. It’s another science fiction psychological thriller focusing on controlling the human mind and finding out what makes humans tick. Gable 5, however, centers more on how to eliminate and control war for the greater good of humanity, which Dushku told the Los Angeles Times is “thought-provoking and fascinating.”
As for her series of connections with comic book roles and playing those types of characters, Eliza says it’s where she feels most comfortable. “There are comic-cons now in every major city in the States, and they’re traveling around the world… I’m turning into something of a convention junkie because I feel like I’m amongst my people. These guys are just as passionate about it as I am.”
In fact, she’s so passionate about it that rumors have surfaced she’ll take on yet another comic book role as Selina Kyle A.K.A. Catwoman (which she’s played as an animated role before) in the upcoming Warner Bros. film Batman vs. Superman. She told Fan Share, “I of course will keep my phone on and would scratch and claw at the chance to film her in live action form.”
So while we wait (with fingers crossed) for her to land another role on the silver screen again, I need you to do two things:
1) Please never forget Missy:
2) But do enjoy her latest project in The Gable 5:
