HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan is setting the record straight on her F-bomb manicure that was on display Tuesday when she was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating terms of her probation.
"Didn’t we do our nails as a joke with our friend?" the 24-year-old actress posted to a pal Wednesday on Twitter. "It had nothing to do w/court. It’s an airbrush design from a stencil."
Lohan created a stir when she was photographed with "F— U" written on her middle fingernail at Tuesday’s hearing. Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel said the troubled star missed seven court-ordered alcohol education classes, violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.
Revel handed down the ruling as Lohan sobbed in the courtroom. The starlet was ordered turn herself in and begin serving her sentence on July 20.
