HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mel Gibson admits to hitting his former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva in an explosive new audio tape that hit the Web early Monday.
In the recording obtained by RadarOnline, Grigorieva ridicules the actor for hitting her and knocking her teeth loose while she was holding their 8-month-old daughter, Lucia.
"I am saving my life and I’m saving my daughter’s life," she tells Gibson. "I don’t give a damn about my music and I don’t give a damn about you spending another penny. I’m saving her life. You almost killed us, did you forget? You were hitting a woman with a child in her hand. What kind of man is that?"
"Oh, you’re all angry now," replies Gibson. "You know what, you f–king deserved it"
Moments later, the Braveheart star becomes even more furious when he asks if Grigorieva is threatening him.
"Threaten ya? I’ll put you in a f—ing rose garden you c–t," he screams. "You understand that? Because I’m capable of it. You understand that?"
Gibson can be heard huffing and puffing throughout the eight-minute call, which begins with him warning Grigorieva to stay on the phone.
"Don’t hang up on me," he yells. "I have plenty of energy to drive over there, you understand me? And I will! So just f–king listen to me. Listen to my f–king ranting. Listen to what you do to me. You make my life so f—ing difficult. You should be a woman who f—ing supports me instead of just sucks me dry."
Last week, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department announced it had opened a domestic violence investigation involving Gibson, 54, and Grigorieva, 40. The pair has been locked in a bitter custody battle ever since they split in April after a year of dating.
Radar also released an audio tape last week in which Gibson used the N-word and other derogatory phrases in a tirade against Grigorieva.
"You go around sashaying in your tight clothes. I won’t stand for that anymore," he warned. "You’re an embarrassment to me. You look like a f—ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n—ers, it will be your fault."
"You are provocatively dressed all the time with your fake boobs that you feel you have to show off," Gibson continued. "I’m just telling you the truth. I don’t like it. I don’t believe you anymore. I don’t trust you. I don’t love you. OK? I will take care of my child but I don’t want you anymore."
