Strong women have been a force in Hollywood ever since the first curtain rose on a movie however many years ago. Today though, those women come together in support of one another. Oh, and if you’re Susan Sarandon, you rock a suit better than most men in this industry do.
Between the likes of Idina Menzel, Iman, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Katie Couric, Claire Danes stood out at Variety‘s annual ‘Power of Women’ event last night in New York City. Every year, the magazine honors women in the entertainment industry who are giving a hand back to society.
Wearing pink and looking as stunning as ever, the Homeland star was recognized for the work she does with Afghan Hands. She even donned one of the charity’s signature (and gorgeous) shawls.
Claire wasn’t alone though, as Sarandon, Menzel, and Iman were also honored for the various charitable work they do in addition to their day jobs.

And because they didn’t want to be left out, Josh Groban, Jay Manuel, and Zac Posen represented the men who were otherwise mostly left at home.
