Every year the greats descend upon our nations capital to mingle with and congratulate one another on being masters of the universe. It’s called the White House Correspondents Dinner and, if anything, this years event is just an excuse to get the cast of Scandal and Lupita Nyong’o into the same room at the same time.
The actual dinner doesn’t happen until this evening, but there are several events leading up to the big night. Last night the stars came out of their rabbit holes for the People / Time ‘WHCD’ Cocktail Party.
Between Joe Manganiello, Lupita, a newly blonde Katharine McPhee, and the long list of Scandal-lebrities, the place was packed with a-listers and journalists alike.
