While there’s been no official announcement from Netflix about a season three for Orange Is the New Black, it’s looking good. A Twitter account belonging to the show’s writers tweeted a photo Monday of ideas for the show’s third season.

OITNB‘s second season doesn’t premiere for another month, so it’s not surprising in the least that Netflix hasn’t officially announced the show has been picked up for a third season. And while it’s difficult to quantify success for a Netflix original show–the company doesn’t release metrics so there’s no way of knowing how many people are watching–OITNB‘s first season received major buzz (including from this site). The show is also expected to be a major awards contender, so there’s really no reason why Netflix wouldn’t pick up the show for a third season.
Orange Is the New Black‘s writers aren’t the only ones saying the show’s third season is a go. Laura Prepon also Instagrammed the same picture with the caption “It’s official!! Season 3!!”
It was previously reported that Prepon would return to series regular status, after being bumped down for the second season, for the show’s third season.
