HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mel Gibson is fine after a single-car accident Sunday night.
The 54-year-old actor lost control of his 2008 Maserati at 8:35 p.m. and crashed into a hillside in Malibu, Calif., the California Highway Patrol said.
Gibson was interviewed at the scene and got a ride home from a friend. Authorities do not suspect alcohol was involved in the crash.
It is the latest setback for Gibson, who has been locked in a bitter custody battle with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva over their 9-month-old daughter Lucia.
