Chaz Bono is continuing to improve each week on Dancing With the Stars. The reality show’s first-ever transgendered dancer delivered a bum-shaking samba on Monday’s episode, getting the crowd on their feet during 80s week.
Chaz and pro partner Lacey Schwimmer turned things up with their samba set to the song “Get Down On It” by Kool and the Gang.
The energetic performance was lauded by the judges as Chaz’s best yet.

In rehearsals, Lacy brought in her dance coach father Buddy to help Chaz really break out on the dance floor.
“Chaz’s weakness with the samba is mainly just him being shy,” Lacey said. “Him shaking his butt in front of millions of people is not his forte!”
And it worked. Chaz received sevens across the board for a total of 21.
“That was the most dancing I’ve seen you do,” Carrie Ann Inaba said.

Bruno Tonioli added,”You’ve got the bounce going. It was like a dribbling basketball! You were giving the wiggle, which is not easy to do.”
“Gallant effort,” Len Goodman chimed in. “Technique was lacking here and there, but what I liked is that you came out and really gave it a go.”
J.R. Martinez topped the leader board with his samba receiving a 28/30 and David Arquette danced the tango for 25/30 tying Rob Kardashian 25/30 rumba.
Hope Solo and Ricki Lake tied with a 24/30 followed by Nancy Grace‘s rumba for 22/30.
