NEW YORK — M.I.A. will perform a free concert on Oct. 6 at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl, label Interscope Records announced Monday.
Tickets for the intimate show are available on a first-come, first-serve basis on the "Born Free" hitmaker’s official Web site.
The 35-year-old singer vowed to perform a free show in the city after a problem-plagued set at the Hard NYC Festival in July.
"F— it! im gonna do a free show in nyc when i get back, tho i dont have powers over rain!" the London-born Sri Lankan star promised on Twitter after the gig. "if u still have the hard ticket u free! xxxo."
M.I.A. kicked off her U.S. tour over the weekend at the Virgin Mobile FreeFest in Columbia, Md.
Her third album, /\/\ /\ Y /\, was released in July.
