The warrants were issued after the twosome failed to appear Monday morning at their scheduled Santa Barbara, Calif. court hearing, stemming from their arrest last month for allegedly living in the guest house of a Montecito home they once owned.

Police arrested the Quaids on charges of felony residential burglary and entering a noncommercial building without consent, a misdemeanor. They also slapped a resisting arrest charge on the actor’s wife.

A new hearing was scheduled for Oct. 26.

Last year, the eccentric couple famously skipped several court dates after they were charged with defrauding an innkeeper of more than $10,000 at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito. Prosecutors later dropped felony charges against Quaid, but his wife received a three-year probation sentence after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor count of defrauding an innkeeper.

Quaid is perhaps best known for his roles in National Lampoon’s Vacation movies, in which he starred as Cousin Eddie.
