‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ Remains No. 1 at Weekend Box Office ‎

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, the seventh movie based on J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels, remained the No. 1 movie with ticket sales of $50.3 million over Thanksgiving weekend, according to studio estimates released Sunday.

The film, in its second week of release, managed to hold off a strong debut by Disney’s animated musical Tangled, which finished second at $49.1 million.

Coming in third was DreamWorks Animation’s Megamind at a distant $12.9 million. That was followed by the Christina Aguilera and Cher musical Burlesque, which opened in fourth place at $11.8 million.

Rounding out the top five was the runaway train thriller Unstoppable at $11.75 million.
