Everyone always says Adam Levine is one of the biggest douchebags in Hollywood, but his latest stunt might have you thinking he’s actually pretty cool.
The Maroon 5 crooner admitted to USA Today that he made his big screen debut in the indie flick Begin Again absolutely free of charge… And for a good reason.
“I did this movie for no money,” he said. “I’m very lucky that I’m in that position. I want to have good experiences. I don’t want to do a bunch of sh*t that I hate. I want to treat [acting] completely differently because I have the very fortunate luxury of not having to think of this in terms of money,” he added, speaking of the cash he’s earned on The Voice and through the band’s success.
Now, some people took that comment as a #humblebrag, but I personally saw it as one of the least douchey things he could do… After all, most douchebags are all about the money, right?
Not to mention, a total douchebag wouldn’t be as adorable over his soon-to-be wife as he is. “She’s incredible and that alone makes me the luckiest person in the world,” he said of Behati Prinsloo.
