‘Tron: Legacy’ Tops Weekend Box Office with Strong Debut

TRON: Legacy, weekend, box, office, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The high-tech adventure Tron: Legacy opened with ticket sales of $43.6 million to easily win the weekend box office, according to studio estimates released Sunday.

The Disney reboot starring Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde outlasted the Warner Bros. debut of Yogi Bear, which finished a distant second at $16.7 million.

Last weekend’s top movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, fell to No. 3 with $12.4 million.

Coming in fourth place over the weekend was The Fighter. The acclaimed boxing drama starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale had sales of $12.2 million.

The Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie film The Tourist rounded out the weekend top five at $8.7 million.
