HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan is at the center of a grand theft investigation involving a missing necklace valued at $2,500, the Los Angeles Police Department said Wednesday.
Police say the "one of a kind necklace" was stolen from a jewelry store in Venice, Calif. on Jan. 22.
Detectives obtained a warrant yesterday to search Lohan’s home in Venice, but before they could, the necklace was returned to the police.
The LAPD said the case remains under investigation.
Lohan, 24, is currently on probation for a DUI conviction. The judge overseeing her case previously warned the starlet that any probation violations would result in additional jail time.
