LONDON — Michael Jackson finally revealed plans for his long-awaited comeback Thursday, announcing that he’ll perform several dates this summer at London’s O2 Arena.

Jackson said the shows would be his “final curtain call” in the city.
“Thank you all…this is it,” he said, according to Reuters. “These will be my final shows … performances in London. When I say this is it, I mean this is it. I’ll be performing the songs my fans want to hear. This is it, this is really it, this is the final curtain call.”
Jackson’s promoter, AEG Live, said the run could be extended if demand exists. The company said it has a three-and-a-half-year deal in place to work with the “King of Pop.”
Once the biggest star in the music business, Jackson has been plagued by financial, legal, and medical woes for years. The “Beat It” singer has not performed a major concert since 2001, the same year that his last studio album was released.
