Love It: Zoë Saldana’s Superheroically Amazing Valentino. Saldana is rumored to be hiding, as our friends at Go Fug Yourself would put it, a “uterine secret” (a.k.a. she’s reportedly expecting) and she’s been dressing that “rumor” in a variety of ways (some more successful than others). But when I saw her in this romantic, ruffled Valentino gown, I was instantly smitten. Let’s start at the top: Her hair is wavy and gorgeous and her face has never looked better — she’s absolutely radiant. Then that ruffled portrait neckline shows off her (allegedly) enhanced figure, while the high waist and full skirt gracefully skims anything she’s looking to hide. My favorite part of this elegant look? The print is actually made up of monkeys and fruit, which is just about as charmingly whimsical as you can get. –Alex Apatoff, Style News Editor
Love It: Selena Gomez’s Skin-spiring Ensemble. I’m always one for pushing the envelope when it comes to style, so when I saw the bra-baring Blumarine getup that Selena picked for the Ischia Global Festival in Italy, I was 110% on board. Her sheer rose-embellished collared shirt and matching high-waist mini are anything but basic. Had she picked a different bra, I could see this outfit going horribly wrong, but I think the wavy design of hers is fun and flirty. It’s not often that we get see the singer in fashion-forward looks, and I hope to see more soon. Stay tuned. –John Soper, Editorial Assistant
Leave It: Julianna Margulies’s Trip to Frumpsville. I’m usually on board with Julianna’s style choices, but that’s because they usually feel modern and perfectly tailored to her body. This black pants and hot-pink shirt ensemble, worn to the N.Y.C. premiere of A Most Wanted Man, definitely is not. The bottoms are too baggy and the shirt is too boxy. It does little to show off her amazing body. (When you look this good at 48, you should be flaunting it!) I think if she selected a more tailored suit or a cropped trouser with a colorful top, this look could have felt a bit more updated. –Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor
