He FINALLY put a ring on it!
George Clooney‘s much talked about dream wedding to Amal Alamuddin has reportedly just concluded and it all went down in front of the most impressive list of Hollywood heavyweights that’s appeared together since last years Academy Awards.
From the fashionable, Emily Blunt, Cindy Crawford and Anna Wintour, to the funny, Bill Murray, and the musically inclined, Bono, everyone who is anyone has descended upon Venice, Italy Saturday to share the historic moment with the perpetual bachelor and the woman who locked him down. Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Bozán Barroso, were also in attendance.
People Magazine broke the news at the wrap of the ceremony, which was as intimate as one would expect from a star-studded bash held within the Aman Canal luxury resort.
The Oscar-winner’s rep confirmed the news just a little while ago, stating rather bluntly that “George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were married today in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy.”
George, along with most of the celebrity guests, was photographed in his Armani suit earlier today on his way to the venue. All of those photos can be seen in the photo gallery above.
What hasn’t been seen though is Amal’s dress, which we’re sure was stunning.
George and Amal’s relationship hit the public eye last October, as they were photographed together in London ahead of several globe-trotting, and rather romantic, adventures together.
It was only a matter of months before the pair was engaged. And even though they went ahead and got their marriage license back in August, it was just a few weeks ago that George, in his usual carefree manner, announced that he and Amal would be getting married in “a couple of weeks.”
