We don’t think we’ve ever seen gingham look quite as sexy as it did on Altuzarra‘s Spring ’15 runway. That was our first thought when the designer’s new lineup hit the catwalk – a parade of slim, sharply cut pencil skirts with front slits, finished this time in peppy blue checks and stripes and topped with blazers and button-downs unbuttoned to there. Altuzarra gives a master class in elevated sex appeal that’s confident but never in your face. It’s the kind you can get away with at the office – but that looks even better after hours.
And, speaking of after hours, the latter half of the runway brought lattice-cut leather in both skirts and dresses. They were followed by romantic ruffled dresses and, finally, a selection of sultry black suiting and sheer evening looks that we could easily see on Rihanna, who took a spot in the front row.
