When you’re as absolutely adorable (and super fashionable, I might add) as Ansel Elgort, people are bound to question which team you’re batting for.
Unfortunately for all of our gay fans out there–but fortunately for all da single ladies–the Fault in Our Stars hunk is setting the record straight (see what I did there?).

The 20-year-old took to Twitter to make sure the world knows he is in fact into women. However, as an avid supporter of the LGBT community, he quickly added that if he were gay, you would already know it.
Also let me say if I was gay I wouldn’t hide it. Being gay or straight isn’t bad or good it just IS. U are who you are. Be true to yourself.

The rumors began circulating after Elgort and Nat Wolff recreated a version of the Fault in Our Stars poster for their gay fans, switching Shailene Woodley out for Wolff as the two boys gaze into one another’s eyes (see the photo above). Not to mention, Elgort is also set to play a gay pianist Van Cliburn in an upcoming biopic, according to Deadline.
However, in real life the actor had actually been dating his high school sweetheart Violetta Komyshan for quite some time. The duo only broke up a few months ago due to his chaotic schedule and ever-growing career.
